Taking a bus from Lima, it takes about four to five hours to get on the Ica. It's a couple of hours to go to Nazca.

On Ica, you can visit the Fuacatina Lagoon, the only oasis in South America, surrounded by the sand dunes that can practice sandboarding.

There are several vineyards and wineries, and Pisco produces a national drink and wine. But perhaps the most interesting thing about them is that

• The Museum of Archeology El Museo Regional de Ica is full of earthenware, mummies, human skull (a skull drilled into a hole for surgical reasons, a variety of human creatures before death), and textiles from various indigenous peoples who lived in the squid region for thousands of years. Dry sand in the desert preserves your body and cloth in an impressive way. In Lima, Arequipa, and northern Peru, there are excellent museums, but the museum is worth visiting in 10-cent coins.
• If you like the Piedras Grabadas Museum of Squid... X file, you will love this mystery. Because the buildings and exhibits were badly damaged by the earthquake in 2007, the museum is rarely opened. Round, smooth stones are collected, and fish, dinosaurs and people are carved into them. Although the museum's creators claim they are thousands of years old, most scientists have skeptical opinions about the rock and strongly suspect that they are modern thieves. (Updated March 2019)

• The World Health Organization is the most popular dance club (Discoteka) in squid, and on Friday and Saturday nights are full of young middle aged people who dance and drink at night.

• Far from Almas Square, El Toro Peninsula is a small but expensive restaurant with delicious Peruvian and Italian cuisine. The owners are friendly and affordable, but are somewhat expensive by Peruvian standards.
• Restran McGrill, Av Cutervo y Brunias N° 300. 08:00 to 23:00. From 12:30 to around 15:00, they have a cheap set menu lunch. The restaurant is very clean and sanitary. The food is small but delicious. (Updated December 2017)
• At the far end of the street from McGrille, the Valentino Cafe Bar offers customers a delicious, list-price lunch and a free Wi-Fi.
• I eat with the Peruvian at Mercado Modero.

• The famous Peruvian cocktail, Pisco Sour, is sold in many places in squid.
• While the fermentation liquid made from grapes, Pisco, is also sold, I think that most tourists don't have any effect on drinking it purely.
• A sweet wine-like drink called 'Katina,' which is the original form of a pisco, is also sold.

• Hotel La Alvoreda Independence 165 A basic, fair hotel with a friendly staff. The neighborhood is dangerous at night. The single that shares the bathroom is S/10.
• Hotel Oranda G:22, Abanizasion Divinomaestro. a small family-run hotel in a residential area It's near the center of the city and Hua Acchinao Oasis. 
• The full resort, Las Dunas Hotel, is the most expensive hotel in the area. It is ten minutes from the downtown. The room charge is 80-200 dollars a night.
• Hotel Machu Picua Benida Takuna, two blocks from Plaza De Armas, is of great use. The room is 30 cents a night, but it has hot water, cable TV and a big comfortable bed. Like many hotels near the Plaza, you need to be careful when you walk around at night.
• Hotel Villa de Valverde 
• Ospedaje Bleenda, located near Dotel, has 25 people separated the bathroom in a room for two people and uses gas to warm up the water (May 2013).
• Mak Hotel Ika: Near the Plaza de Armas in Ika, next to the Plaza del Sol Mall Center.
• Huarango Hotel Ikahu Arango Hotel Ika is the first colonial-style squid hotel.

At night, the streets of Ica are dangerous. Take a taxi or stay in a hotel room.

• Wakatina is a desert oasis a few kilometers away from the squid and is a resort.
