The Government’s commitment, through the Con Punche Peru plan and the publication of Law No. 31728, is to accelerate the mass use of natural gas and reactivate the family economy, with resources of 780 million soles by 2023.

The budget assigned to the Social Energy Inclusion Fund (FISE) will allow the construction of more than 1,500 km of distribution networks, which translates into connecting 10 hospitals to the public natural gas service and more than 100,000 homes.

Additionally, it will allow converting 10,000 light vehicles nationwide to CNG.

For the department of Ica, within the framework of the “Con Punche Perú” plan, the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM) announced that the construction of 100.6 km of natural gas distribution networks is projected for this 2023 in the region of Ica, which will benefit more than approximately 6,200 families.

To date, through FISE and the Ica natural gas distribution concessionaire, the first 10.9 kilometers of networks have been built in the Vista Alegre district, Nazca province.

Likewise, the construction of more networks will soon begin in Nazca and in the Lomo Largo sector, located in the district of Sunampe, province of Chincha.

Natural gas can be used for cooking and/or heating, generating a monthly saving of more than 40% compared to conventional LPG gas, and a saving of 70% compared to hot springs or electrical energy devices.

In this sense, natural gas is an alternative that will contribute to improving the quality of life of the population and reactivate the basic basket of households.

In this way, Minem ratifies its commitment to achieve universal access to energy and make the natural gas distribution service available to more Peruvians, an important economic resource, friendly to health and the environment that will contribute to economic transformation. of the country while its use spreads more in Ica and other areas of the country.
